Before you begin

Get ready.

You will likely need a smartphone, email address, phone number, photo ID, a supported payment method, and the amount you plan to send.

  • Download MetaMask only from its verified source or official app-store listing.

  • Have the recipient available to confirm their exact token and network.

  • Expect a purchase provider to request identity verification for a first purchase.

Availability varies. Payment methods, providers, tokens, and networks depend on your location.

Set up MetaMask

  1. Open MetaMask and choose Create a new wallet.

  2. Choose the setup method shown in the app and create a strong, unique password.

  3. If you use a Secret Recovery Phrase, write it down exactly and store it securely offline.

Your phrase is the master key.

Never photograph it. Never paste it into Telegram, WhatsApp, email, text, a website, or a support chat. Anyone who has it can control the wallet.

  1. In MetaMask, tap Buy or Buy/Sell.

  2. Choose USDT as the token and Ethereum Mainnet as the network.

  3. Enter the amount and select an available payment method and provider.

  4. Complete identity verification if requested, review the quote and fees, then confirm.

Look before you approve. Quotes and provider fees can vary. Confirm that the USDT will arrive on Ethereum Mainnet.

Most important check

Match the network.

USDT exists on several blockchains. The name may look the same, but USDT on Ethereum is not interchangeable with USDT on TRON, BNB Smart Chain, or another network.

Repeat this process for another supported token and network.

Change the token and network together at every step, confirm both with the recipient, check that both wallets support the pair, and account for that network’s fee token. The app screens and fees may differ.

Ethereum can be expensive. If the recipient supports multiple USDT networks, compare the available network fees before buying - but never switch networks without their written confirmation.

Ask, then verify

Get the address.

Ask the recipient to copy the full deposit address directly from the wallet or exchange where they will receive the funds. Neither person should type the address by hand.

I will be sending you USDT using the Ethereum network (ERC-20). Please open the wallet or exchange where you receive crypto, choose Deposit or Receive, select USDT, and then select Ethereum (ERC-20). Send me the complete deposit address and confirm in writing that it accepts USDT on Ethereum/ERC-20. Please do not send a TRON/TRC-20, BNB/BEP-20, or other network address.

A “0x” beginning is not proof by itself. The recipient must confirm that their wallet or exchange displayed Ethereum/ERC-20 for the USDT deposit.

Ready to transfer

Send safely.

  1. Open MetaMask and select Ethereum Mainnet, then choose USDT.

  2. Tap Send and paste the recipient’s copied address.

  3. Compare the first and last characters with the address they sent.

  4. Enter the amount and review the recipient, token, network, and network fee.

  5. Only when every detail matches, tap Confirm.

First time? Consider a test.

Send a small amount, wait for the recipient to confirm it arrived, then send the remainder. Two transactions mean two network fees, so compare that added cost with the extra reassurance.

Network fees are required. MetaMask shows the fee before confirmation. Depending on the supported network and transaction, MetaMask may let you pay it with a token other than the network’s native token.

After confirmation

Track the transfer.

MetaMask will show the transaction in your activity and provide a transaction hash, sometimes called a transaction ID. It is safe to share this hash with the recipient so both of you can track the transfer on a block explorer.

Share the transaction hash - not your recovery phrase.

Ask the recipient to confirm the deposit in their wallet or exchange.

Keep the transfer record for your own reference.

Availability is not guaranteed. Apps, verification, deposits, withdrawals, and supported networks can change by location. Use an option only if it is available to you.

Before setup

Ask first.

Before choosing a wallet or network, ask the person who may exchange the USDT for cash what they currently accept.

Get the answer in writing. Save the message showing the token, network, rate, fee, and expected cash amount.

First option

Binance is a hosted exchange account. It may be easier for a beginner, but access, verification, deposits, and withdrawals depend on your location and Binance policies.

  1. Install the official Binance app and create an account using your own email or phone number.

  2. Create a strong password, turn on two-factor authentication, and complete identity verification if required.

  3. Open Deposit, choose Deposit Crypto, then choose USDT.

  4. Select the exact network agreed with the sender and exchanger.

  5. Copy the complete deposit address. If Binance shows a memo or tag, copy that too.

Do not guess the network. Binance may show several USDT networks. The sender must use the same one.

Second option

MetaMask is self-custody: you control the wallet, and nobody can restore it if the Secret Recovery Phrase is lost.

  1. Install MetaMask from its verified source and choose Create a new wallet.

  2. Create a strong password. Write the Secret Recovery Phrase on paper and store it securely offline.

  3. Select the agreed network. This sender guide uses Ethereum Mainnet / ERC-20.

  4. Open Receive or tap the account name to copy your public wallet address.

  5. Send the copied address and written network name to the sender - never the Recovery Phrase.

Plan for the later fee. Sending USDT from MetaMask may require the network’s fee token.

Third option

Trust Wallet is also self-custody and supports many networks, so choosing the correct USDT version is essential.

  1. Install the official Trust Wallet app and choose Create a new wallet.

  2. Protect the wallet backup or recovery phrase offline. Never photograph or message it.

  3. Search for USDT and choose the exact agreed network.

  4. Tap Receive, confirm the token and network shown, then tap Copy.

  5. Send the copied public address together with the written token and network name.

USDT appears more than once. Read the network label every time.

  1. Copy the receiving address from the selected token and network screen. Never type it manually.

  2. Send the full address and exact written network name to the sender.

  3. For a first transfer, request a small test when the additional fee is reasonable.

  4. Wait for the app to show the deposit as confirmed.

  5. Keep the transaction hash so both people can track the transfer.

Turning USDT into cash

Exchange it carefully.

Some people use an independent exchanger to trade USDT for available local cash. Availability, rates, identity requirements, and local rules can change.

  1. Use only an exchanger you know or who is strongly recommended by people you trust.

  2. Confirm the exchanger’s network, address, rate, fee, minimum, payout currency, and exact cash amount.

  3. Use Withdraw in Binance or Send in MetaMask or Trust Wallet. Paste the exchanger’s address and select the exact agreed network.

  4. Compare the first and last address characters. Send a small test first when practical.

  5. Do not send the remainder until the exchanger confirms the test and cash-handoff details.

Check the current local rules.

Do not assume every ordinary currency exchange can exchange USDT. Confirm the current rules and the exchanger’s status before proceeding.

Protect the wallet

Keep control.

Share only your public receiving address and transaction hash.

Never share a password, verification code, private key, or recovery phrase.

Reject “support” messages asking to connect, verify, or unlock the wallet.

No one needs remote access to your phone. A legitimate transfer does not require anyone to control your device.

  1. افتح MetaMask واختر Create a new wallet.

  2. اختر طريقة الإعداد الظاهرة في التطبيق وأنشئ كلمة مرور قوية وفريدة.

  3. إذا ظهرت لك عبارة الاسترداد السرية، اكتبها بدقة واحفظها في مكان آمن وغير متصل بالإنترنت.

عبارة الاسترداد هي المفتاح الرئيسي.

لا تصوّرها ولا ترسلها عبر تيليغرام أو واتساب أو البريد أو الرسائل أو أي موقع أو محادثة دعم. من يملكها يستطيع التحكم بالمحفظة.

الخيار الأول

Binance حساب مستضاف لدى منصة. قد يكون أسهل للمبتدئ، لكن الوصول والتحقق والإيداع والسحب يعتمد على موقعك وسياسات Binance.

  1. نزّل تطبيق Binance الرسمي وأنشئ حساباً ببريدك أو رقم هاتفك.

  2. أنشئ كلمة مرور قوية وفعّل التحقق بخطوتين وأكمل التحقق من الهوية إذا طُلب.

  3. افتح Deposit ثم Deposit Crypto واختر USDT.

  4. اختر الشبكة نفسها المتفق عليها مع المرسل والصراف.

  5. انسخ عنوان الإيداع كاملاً. إذا ظهر Memo أو Tag فانسخه أيضاً.

لا تخمّن الشبكة. قد يعرض Binance عدة شبكات لـ USDT، ويجب أن يستخدم المرسل الشبكة نفسها.

MetaMask محفظة ذاتية الحفظ. أنت تتحكم بها، ولا يمكن لأحد استعادتها إذا فقدت عبارة الاسترداد.

  1. نزّل MetaMask من مصدره الرسمي واختر Create a new wallet.

  2. أنشئ كلمة مرور قوية واكتب عبارة الاسترداد على ورق واحفظها بأمان.

  3. اختر الشبكة المتفق عليها. مثال دليل المرسل هنا هو Ethereum Mainnet / ERC-20.

  4. افتح Receive أو اضغط اسم الحساب لنسخ عنوان المحفظة العام.

  5. أرسل العنوان واسم الشبكة كتابةً إلى المرسل، ولا ترسل عبارة الاسترداد أبداً.

خطط للرسوم لاحقاً. إرسال USDT من MetaMask قد يحتاج إلى عملة رسوم الشبكة.

Trust Wallet محفظة ذاتية الحفظ وتدعم شبكات كثيرة، لذلك اختيار نسخة USDT الصحيحة ضروري.

  1. نزّل تطبيق Trust Wallet الرسمي واختر Create a new wallet.

  2. احفظ نسخة المحفظة أو عبارة الاسترداد خارج الإنترنت. لا تصوّرها ولا ترسلها.

  3. ابحث عن USDT واختر الشبكة المتفق عليها بدقة.

  4. اضغط Receive وتأكد من العملة والشبكة ثم اضغط Copy.

  5. أرسل العنوان العام المنسوخ مع اسم العملة والشبكة كتابةً.

USDT يظهر أكثر من مرة. اقرأ اسم الشبكة في كل مرة.

حوّله بحذر

يستخدم بعض الناس صرافاً مستقلاً لتحويل USDT إلى نقد محلي متاح. التوفر والأسعار ومتطلبات الهوية والقواعد المحلية قد تتغير.

  1. تعامل فقط مع صراف تعرفه أو يوصي به أشخاص تثق بهم بشدة.

  2. أكد الشبكة والعنوان والسعر والرسوم والحد الأدنى وعملة الدفع والمبلغ النقدي النهائي.

  3. استخدم Withdraw في Binance أو Send في MetaMask أو Trust Wallet، ثم الصق عنوان الصراف واختر الشبكة المتفق عليها.

  4. قارن أول وآخر حروف العنوان وأرسل مبلغاً تجريبياً عندما يكون ذلك عملياً.

  5. لا ترسل الباقي حتى يؤكد الصراف وصول التجربة وتفاصيل تسليم النقد.
